Current and Former Employment

I am currently employed at Conducive Tech Inc. which owns Flightstats.com among other sites. They specialize in providing logistical and arrival/departure data to airlines, airports and travel agencies. I am in the mobile developement group and I work on iOS and Android apps for in-house development and for clients.

Previously, I worked at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis at the University of California, Santa Barbara. for almost 11 years. I was working on a number of NSF funded projects with the goal of increasing scientists access to data management and analysis tools, specifically in the field of Ecology.

Mobile Apps

AirportZoom An airport-centric travel app for browsing arrivals and departures, tracking flights and searching for services in an airport. Developed for Flightstats.

Simply Done is a simple todo list app and is in version 2.0. It supports multiple lists, emailing of lists, sorting and copying. It can be found in the App Store here.

Home on the Tube is a video based real estate app. It allows real estate agents to film and photograph their properties directly from iPhone and it allows potential buyers to search for and view properties in their area.

MSStep1 is a test primer for medical students who are about to take the Step 1 standardized test. It consists of a set of 2000 flash cards across 12 subjects. Students cna buy additional subjects via in app purchases.

Diabetic Dosage is a simple insulin calculator which can be used by diabetics with guidance from their doctors. The user inputs specific parameters, then a recommended insulin dosage is provided. Diabetic Dosage is available for both iOS and Android.

Other Consulting

My experience includes server administration (Linux, Windows, OSX), web site development and custom application development. I run my own collocated server (on which this site runs) which is currently hosting 7 different web sites.

I am experienced with writing applications using the Google Maps API. Most of my sites use PHP/Javascript and AJAX.
